Keith Ballard and Jamie Yanda said “I do” on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on the beach at sunset.
Jamie’s parents are Peter and Jane Yanda of Edina, MN. Her grandparents are Don and Carol Engstrom, Bob Yanda and the late Betty Yanda also of Edina.
Keith’s parents are Steve and Joanne Ballard of Baudette. His grandparents are Jerry and Sharon Krohn and great-grandmother of Gladys Krohn of Williams, MN., Jim and Rosie Schuster and the late Keith Ballard of Baudette.
The bride was attended by her sisters Gretchen and Lindsy Yanda and Keith’s sister Jessie Anthony. Attending the groom were friends Judd Stevens, Garrett Smaagaard, Chris Harrington and brother-in-law Nick Anthony. Two year old Alexis Anthony was the flower girl.

The special parts of the service were written by Jamie’s grandfather Don Engstrom and read by her uncle Scott Engstrom. The ceremony was accompanied by a harp, cello and guitar ensemble and the sounds of the surf. The celebration continued with a mariachi band cocktail hour and a sit down reception dinner followed by dancing music.
About 65 friends and family enjoyed a fun wedding week in beautiful Cabo with several poolside gatherings including a welcome reception and a farewell breakfast. Friends and family not attending were remembered and thanked for their support in spirit.
Locals attending Cabo for the celebration were Steve and Joanne Ballard, Nick, Jessie, Alexis and Dominic Anthony, Rosie Schuster, Jerry and Sharon Krohn, Allan, Sara, Katelyn, Karly and Kayla Thompson.
The newlyweds will make their home in Florida for the winter and Minneapolis for the summer season.
