Law enforcement and rescue personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash Thursday, Jan. 28 just after 1 p.m. The crash was south of Baudette on Highway 72 and involved a 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer and a 2005 International Conventional delivery truck. Both vehicles were traveling southbound when the truck began to slow down due to stopped traffic ahead. The TrailBlazer was unable to slow down until it was too late on the icy roads and the vehicle crashed into the back of the truck.
Joshua A. Curb, 22 of Bemidji was the driver of the TrailBlazer and was taken to LakeWood Health Center with minor injuries. Two passengers, Andrew D. Crotty, 23 of Bemidji, and Joseph D. Lindseth, 22 of Bemidji had no apparent injuries. The driver of the delivery truck, Terrence A. Palmer, 58 of Bemidji, had no apparent injuries.
Another crash, earlier in the week, also was due to icy roads.
On January 25th at about 7 a.m. two vehicles collided at the intersection of County Road 4 and Highway 11 at Graceton.
Dale T. Larson, 53, of Williams was driving a 1993 Ford Pickup north on County Road 4 and could not stop when approaching Highway 11. His vehicle slid onto the highway and struck the left rear of a 1995 Mercury Sable driven by Neomie L. Wilemon, 49, of Baudette.
Neither driver had any apparent injuries.
