The Baudette Lake of the Woods Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Baudette Police Department would like to announce several road closures and parking restrictions that will be in place over the 4th of July weekend.

• Main Avenue North: Two blocks from Highway 11 to 2nd Street will be closed to all traffic and parking beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 3 and will remain closed through Sunday, July 5 at approximately 6 a.m.  All vehicles must be removed by 6 p.m. to avoid being towed at owner's expense.  Set up for vendors begins at 7 p.m. on the evening of the 3rd.  A short section of 1st Street NE from Main Avenue west to the alley behind Wells Fargo and the Rex Hotel will also be closed during this same period.

• Parade Route:  The entire parade route will be signed as NO PARKING during the parade.  Please watch for these signs and be sure that all vehicles are removed from along the parade route by at least 11a.m. and the parking restrictions continue until the completion of the parade at which time the signs will be removed.

• Parking on Baudette Bay Bridge:  The Firecracker 5K route crosses the Baudette Bay Bridge. Because of this there will be absolutely no parking on the Baudette Bay Bridge until 11 a.m. on July 4th!  This is being done for the safety of the 5K participants and volunteers.  Parking after 11a.m. on July 4 will be allowed.
As always, please be alert and slow down when driving anywhere in town on the 4th of July.  Very large crowds and heavy traffic is expected throughout the day.
