LakeWood Nursing Service has relocated to an office building located west of Ben Franklin in the Auto Value building along state highway 11 in Baudette. This new location for Home Health programs, Hospice and Public Health services will provide increased awareness of these programs along with improved client access.
"Our Home Health and Hospice staff bring quality care to people in their homes. This move will make it easier for people to find us while allowing the community to learn more about and understand the services we provide," commented Michelle Brown, RN, PHN, Director of LakeWood Nursing Service. "In addition to Home Health and Hospice, our Public Health services such as Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), and health promotions such as foot care clinics and immunizations, will also be available at our new location."
LakeWood Nursing Service coordinates nurses and nurse aides for home health visits. Home Health Aides may assist a client with grocery shopping or other errands, light housekeeping duties, and personal care needs.
Home Health nurses make home visits, review medications, monitor blood pressures and other vital information, and coordinate care with the client's primary medical provider.
For families looking at Hospice services, LakeWood Hospice is part of LakeWood Nursing Service and can provide quality end-of-life care in a family's time of need.
LakeWood Nursing Service is contracted by Lake of the Woods County to provide Public Health Services, which include WIC, Child and Teen Check-Ups, Prenatal Education Classes, Immunizations, Family Home Visiting, Foot Care Clinics, Blood Pressure Clinics, Emergency Preparedness, and the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP).
