It has been about a month since our website has been active, and we are happy to see a little more traffic each day, and a few people who have become registered users.
One thing that has been mentioned to us recently is that people don’t understand how interactive the website can be. As a registered user, you can do several fun things online to share with our readers.
• You can post a recipe. There is a chili recipe online that gets requests for several family functions.
• You can add an event to our community calendar. We are working very hard to have our calendar be the place to go for each day’s events. Maybe you are a recorder for your church or garden club. You can post your organization’s meetings on our community calendar.
• You can start a blog. An internet blog is kind of like an online diary. There you can discuss whatever is going on in your thoughts. One user, under the name bluelite, shared his or her thoughts about law enforcement in the county. Blogs don’t have to be political. We also have blogs about some events in our community.
• You can start a forum for discussion. This is kind of like a blog, but one where other registered users can respond to what you have written. It is like an online discussion where anyone can participate.
It isn’t necessary to register in order to read the news, see the photos or follow the advertisements to their websites.
